Cooperation agreement between two major laboratories

The Malta University signed an agreement with the Malta Laboratories Network aimed at facilitating activities together with training and cooperation in fields that concern standards in the development of quality assurance and good practices in the laboratory that satisfy the regulatory requisites of the European Union, which include the calibration of equipment and process validation. The strategic partnership will provide an exchange of experiences and resources between the University’s laboratories and the Malta Laboratories Network.

The agreement was signed by the University Rector, Prof. Alfred Vella and the Permanent Secretary at the Justice Ministry, Mr Johann Galea. The agreement will facilitate the use of the Malta University’s laboratories which will be able to cater for the country’s needs, however this will be done without impinging on the learning and research functions of the University.
