ORINDA — Street Feast, a weekly food truck event featuring craft beer and wine, live music and Cornhole, kicks off Thursday, Aug. 17.
During a two-month pilot program, mobile food vendors will offer savory dishes and sweet treats from 5 to 9 p.m. in front of the Orinda Community Center, 28 Orinda Way.
If the event proves successful, the City Council may extend Street Feast beyond the scheduled Oct. 19 end date.
Taste of the World Market, which puts on food truck events at venues across Contra Costa County, including at the Pleasant Hill-Contra Costa Centre BART station, partners with purveyors of American comfort food and international cuisine.
In addition to The Guzzler Bar on Wheels — a truck with craft beer and wine on tap — the grand opening Street Feast food truck lineup includes:
- Southern Comfort Kitchen
- Golden Gate Gyro
- Copper Skillet on Wheels
- Got Italian Ice
- Drewski’s Hot Rod Kitchen
- Street Steam Bunz
